Unfortunately, as much as we’d like to, we can’t stop the rain, spread of disease or control the weather seasons. What we can do is minimise exposure to quality problems. We speak directly to our export partners on a regular basis always reviewing the seasonal changes and challenges that are faced in the tropics.

THE PROACTIVE APPROACH

For Belva, we take a proactive step forward in monitoring every single grower code that passes through our import and supply chain procedures. We also report feedback to growers and suppliers weekly in line with feedback received from our partners. As well as pre-load inspections for fruit calibre, size, appearance, in-specification, we employ services from industry respected quality teams upon arrival to send independent quality reports to us. We’re transparent – we are happy to share these reports for each transaction we complete. We take quality seriously, our brand and reputation are on the line. Quality is key to consistently serving our partners fresh quality fruit.
